I'm Back!!

Hi all! I just wanted to say...I'm back after about a week! My wonderful grandmother, "Nana" as I called her, passed away peacefully early this week...After my Uncle, her son, unexpectedly passed away in February, she had lost all will to live, and her heart just couldn't take it. Hotel For Dogs: The Must-Have Family Adventure!

Hotel For Dogs was just unleashed on DVD and Blu-Ray by Paramount Home Entertainment on April 28, 2009, and I was lucky enough to receive a copy to review! I'm always searching for movies that are family-friendly and enjoyable for myself and my family! With boys that are 13, 7 and 2...it can be hard to find a movie that entices all of them...and Mommy and Daddy, but I have to say that Hotel For Dogs did the trick! We all enjoyed it and I have to be honest, I even got a little teary-eyed at the end....I'm really not a wimp though...it was just that heartwarming ....you know?!

Starring Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Don Cheadle, Kevin Dillon and Lisa Kudrow, this move is hilarious yet inspiring! Here's a brief synopsis for those of you who are not yet familiar with the movie, Hotel For Dogs .

When two orphans (Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin) find themselves in a foster home with a strict "no pets" policy, they set out to find a home for their canine companion and end up creating a haven for all the strays in the city. Filled with loveable dogs and ingenious kids, Hotel For Dogs has the kind of pedigree that the whole family can enjoy.

What I really loved about Hotel For Dogs is that I did NOT have to worry about what my children were watching! And moms out there, you know how hard it is to find a PG movie that is thrilling and exciting for your children, especially tweens or teens! I also enjoyed all of the different kinds and breeds of doggies! I have two labs that are a real part of our family, and they watched it with us...seriously!!! Every time they would walk out of the room...they would hear a BARK and run back into the room to quickly investigate the television in case of escaping dogs! Finally, my chocolate lab decided if he just stared at the screen loyally without flinching for the entire last 45 minutes of the movie Hotel For Dogs, maybe the doggies would come out and play?! Woof?!
